At Les Chalets du Lac Belcaire, winter is also best enjoyed in a caravan, offering an authentic experience close to nature. Whether you’re travelling in a van, caravan or motorhome, the campsite welcomes you all year round in a peaceful, snow-covered setting, ideal for those who love freedom and the great outdoors.
Even in the depths of winter, every detail has been thought of to ensure your comfort: you can enjoy fully renovated, heated and enclosed toilet facilities, guaranteeing a pleasant stay whatever the temperature. After a day in the great outdoors, it’s time to unwind in the wellness area: a heated swimming pool, hot tub and sauna offer you a truly relaxing experience in the heart of the mountains.

Camurac and its 4-season resort
Camping les Chalets du lac Belcaire is located near the first Pyrenean resorts offering slopes for downhill skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Ideally located less than 10 kilometres from Camurac, the last ski resort in the Aude Pyrenees, the campsite is the ideal holiday resort for a holiday in the mountains.
Small family resort, Camurac offers 11 alpine ski slopes for all levels, 2 cross-country ski trails, routes open to snowshoeing. The little ones can enjoy a toboggan run, a beginner ski area with cable rope and a ski school. Every Thursday, Julien and his pack offer you a dog sled ride. In order to have fun, the resort also offers the opportunity to get off the beaten track by snowmobile or in the air for paragliding baptism.
During the school holidays, a paid shuttle takes you from the campsite to the Col du Teil. Online registration required. For your ski rentals, Camurac sport is waiting for you to advise you.
Nature sport at the Chioula Pass
On the borders of the Aude region and on the border of Ariège, enjoy the exceptional location of the campsite near the Col du Chioula. At 1450 meters above sea level, the Chioula Pass is an exceptional natural site to practice a multitude of outdoor activities in winter.
In summer, it is a magical leisure area. It is the crossing point of many hikes such as the famous path of Bonshommes GR107. Borrowed 4 times by the Tour de France, discover this incredible spot for cyclists. It is also a great place for stargazing.
Chioula is the second northern area of the Ax valleys. For a contemplative walk or to exercise, you will enjoy skiing in this unique Nordic area composed of 15 slopes stretching over nearly 51 kilometers.
For hiking enthusiasts, go snowshoeing and admire the grandiose landscapes that are available to you. With 13 kilometers of trails and 4 tracks for all levels, everyone will be able to walk safely.
